Like probably most men in his position, Scoutmaster Barrett used to be a scout when he was young. And has amazing memories of this time. Now he’s in a leadership role, and that doesn’t come without problems for him. As he admits, he has problems to entirely distance himself from the boys. Once he puts on that uniform, ‘instead of feeling like a figure of authority, I just want to be part of the gang again’. While in their tent, and after some small talk, the scoutmaster asked if Ethan was ready. He said he was. And so Mr. Barrett told him, what was about to happen needed to remain a complete secret. And Ethan nodded in agreement.
